Friends of Melrose Elementary brings families, educators, businesses, and neighbors together to create meaningful opportunities for every Mustang.
 

Through community support, fundraising, grants, and volunteer efforts, we help provide the materials, programs, and experiences that allow students to explore, create, perform, discover, and grow. From science and technology to visual and performing arts, we invest in learning that extends beyond the classroom and inspires children to imagine what is possible.

Supporting the Whole Child
 

The arts and sciences help children become curious thinkers, creative problem-solvers, confident learners, and resilient members of their community. Friends of MES works alongside Melrose Elementary to strengthen these opportunities for students from Pre-K through sixth grade.

We also serve in many of the traditional roles of a PTO by celebrating and supporting the dedicated teachers and staff who make these opportunities possible. Through appreciation events, special treats, recognition, and other acts of gratitude, we help ensure that the people who care for and educate our children know how deeply they are valued.

Community Support in Action

Since 2019, Friends of MES has raised more than $45,000 through grants, fundraisers, sponsorships, and community partnerships. That support has helped provide:

• Science, technology, engineering, art, and math enrichment

• Instruments, supplies, and support for music and art

• Classroom materials and teacher technology

• Family learning events and student celebrations

• Teacher and staff appreciation activities

• Special experiences that make learning memorable

Every donation, sponsorship, volunteer hour, and shared idea helps us do more for the students, teachers, and staff of Melrose Elementary.
